CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin has appointed Jessica Tice has been named communications director. The appointment took effect on July 5.
“Jessica is extremely talented with an impressive background, and she will be a real asset to our senior leadership team,” Gov. Tomblin said.
Tice replaces Chris Stadelman, who was recently named chief of staff.
A native of Preston County, Tice has worked in state and federal government communications roles for 13 years. She served as acting communications director, deputy state director and state press secretary for U.S. Senator Jay Rockefeller.
She most recently served as associate vice chancellor for communications at the state Higher Education Policy Commission and previously worked for the public information office of the West Virginia Legislature.
