Former WVU coach Huggins joining HD Media’s Full Court Press radio show

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Former West Virginia University men’s basketball coach Bob Huggins has a new gig for the upcoming season.

Huggins, who was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2022, is joining Full Court Press, a weekly college basketball radio show focused on WVU hoops. The show is presented by HD Media.

“I think it will be fun,” Huggins said. “What I can bring to it is other coaches. I can call [Kansas coach] Bill Self, and he’ll come on the air with us for a period of time. [Baylor coach] Scott Drew would [as well]. They’re all friends of mine. I get calls and texts from those guys virtually every day.”

Huggins has had experience talking in front of the microphone dating as far back as being a regular on radio shows in Cincinnati during his days with the Bearcats. During last year’s men’s NCAA tournament, Huggins spent time as an analyst across the CBS family of networks.

Huggins will join returning Full Court Press hosts Anthony Lewis, Michael Susman and Derek Bailey each week as they dissect WVU basketball and upcoming Mountaineer opponents, as well as comment on the biggest national stories from the hardwood.

In the first episode, Huggins will address other topics, including the events that led to him parting ways with the university earlier this year.
