Kessler Receives Eighth Labor Endorsement in Gubernatorial Campaign
CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 132 announced today that the organization is endorsing Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Jeff Kessler for Governor.
Business Manager Chuck Parker says Kessler has a strong labor background and has always fought for working families and the people of this great State.
“When the immediate attacks on working families began two years ago, it was Jeff Kessler who stood in the trenches and fought for us,” says Parker. “You will not find a stronger, better candidate for Labor than Jeff Kessler. Jeff has always stood alongside the hardworking men and women of West Virginia, and will as Governor. He is our friend and we are proud to not only endorse, but also support him.”
Kessler says his record of fighting for the people and standing up for working families speaks for itself and he’s honored to have the endorsement of such hardworking men and women.
“I’ve always fought for West Virginians and have a long record of supporting working families,” said Kessler. “I fought the legislative leadership against “Right To Work” and to keep prevailing wage. I’ve fought to help all West Virginians throughout my legislative career because that’s what being a public servant is all about. The issues facing West Virginia demand experience and bold leadership. West Virginia is in a period of transition and crisis and I have a proven record of fixing serious problems facing our State. I’m the candidate that can fix the problems we face today. There is no time for on the job training.”
The International Union of Operating Engineers The International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) is a progressive trade union representing heavy equipment operators and mechanics, as well as operations, maintenance and other workers in building and industrial complexes and service industries throughout the United States and Canada.
