ELKINS, W.Va. — With temperatures in the mid 70s and a clear weather forecast for Saturday, organizers of the Eighth Annual Ramps & Rail Festival expect the Elkins Depot and Town Square to be fills with both aromas and visitors.
With events starting at 9 a.m. — a trail bike ride – and continuing until the vendor awards ceremony at 4:30 p.m., Ramps & Rails offers music, food, train rides, crafts and other activities, said Sue Sheets, president of the Depot Welcome Center.
Sheets expects visitors from across West Virginia and other states journey to Elkins for the annual event.
Musical entertainment this year includes The Franks Family, Seth Manard Jazz Quartet and the Hardly Ever band. Music starts at 11 a.m. with Maynard’s quartet, followed by the Franks at 1 p.m. and Hardly Ever at 3 p.m.
