Sculptor Jamie Lester gets the statue of Don Knotts ready for the unveiling.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Sculptor Jamie Lester installed a statue of Morgantown native and famed actor Don Knotts in front of the Metropolitan Theatre on July 19, in preparation for an unveiling and celebration July 23-24.
All events are free and open to the public.
The unveiling is set for 10 a.m. July 23, on High Street. Larry Nelson, local broadcaster and entertainer, will emcee the event, and Knotts’ daughter, comedian Karen Knotts, will help Lester unveil the statue.
