FRENCH CREEK, W.Va.  — Approaching the French Creek Christmas Tree Farm on a winding road, visitors see the hundreds of trees spread over hills at the Upshur County season attraction.

Ron and Tillie Fowler planted their first Christmas tree seedlings in 1983, and sold their first batch of trees in 1990. From there, the farm has expanded spectacularly.

With Ron having a degree in forestry and Tillie’s background with the Department of Natural Resources, they both knew they wanted to have a farm of some sort.
