Campaign Update: Charleston Professional Firefighters Local 317 endorsed Ben Salango for Governor of W.Va.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Today, Charleston Professional Firefighters Local 317 endorsed Kanawha County Commissioner, Ben Salango, for Governor of West Virginia. Local 317 joins the South Charleston Professional Firefighters and other labor unions to support Salango in 2020.

Myron Boggess, president of the Charleston Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 317, issued the following statement:

On behalf of the Charleston Professional Firefighters Association, Local 317, I am proud to announce that we stand with Ben Salango and his campaign to be the next governor of West Virginia. As a County Commissioner, Ben’s proven that he cares deeply about our firefighters and all first responders and is a dedicated supporter of working families. He knows that the hard-working men and women of West Virginia are what keeps our great state moving, and we know that he will be a governor that firefighters and first responders can trust to get the job done.”

“I couldn’t be prouder to have the Charleston Professional Firefighters Local 317 support our campaign,” said Commissioner Ben Salango. “Our firefighters look out for us every single day, and it’s time they had a governor who will look out for them. Working families deserve to have a seat at the table in state government, and when I’m governor, I will be a voice for all West Virginians.
