WHEELING, W.Va. — Wheeling artists seeking a large open canvas could get their chance to create a lasting welcome to downtown visitors.
Wheeling Heritage has announced a contest to find the best idea for a mural in Kossuth Park, located at the base of the exit ramp from Interstate 70 east into downtown.
The mural “should evoke a sense of community and celebrate Wheeling,” according to information provided by Wheeling Heritage. Requirements are that the mural be 20 feet wide and 10 feet tall, and the scale of the piece should be designed for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
