MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Executive Director of Communications April Kaull will depart WVU to accept a position as associate vice president for strategic communications at Carnegie Mellon University, according to a Carnegie Mellon release Wednesday.
Kaull’s last day at WVU will be March 31. She is set to start with the University Communications Marketing leadership team on April 7, according to the release.
Kaull has worked for WVU since 2015, leading the news and communications department and serving as a spokesperson for the University, the release said.
“This is a pivotal time for Carnegie Mellon to advance the transformative narrative of our academic and research mission and how it positively impacts the greater good in society. April’s impressive experience, energy, collaborative nature and excellence in all manner of communications will benefit the entire CMU community in more effectively spreading our story of profound impact on a global level,” Tysen Kendig, vice president for university communications and marketing at Carnegie Mellon, said in the release.
