“I’m not your usual candidate,” said Blankenship. “I’m not a politician and have never been in politics. But, I do have common sense. I will work for lower taxes, better roads, etc. But that’s all you here at election time.”

“I want to focus on the small towns that are under served. That don’t get their fair share of funding. That get passed over whenever great businesses move to the state,” Blankenship said. “We have a lot of great people who are out of work and going through hard times in southern W.Va.”

“We have helped build this state and this country. We in southern W.Va. have been passed over for too long. I am committed to getting new businesses into our district. I had a lot of positive feedback from the train idea that I have and I hope to get the chance to work on projects like this and many more,” the candidate added.

Blankenship says he will be focused on getting communities to work together. “We all need to come together as one community in this district. We all have our own great ideas for growth and we should help each other make these ideas become real,” he said.

Blankenship invites everyone to look him up on Facebook for more information on his campaign. Blankenship will be challenging incumbent Republican Senator Mark Maynard of Wayne County in the May Primary election.
