BECKLEY, W.Va. — It’s time to get the four-wheelers out and have some fun with live bands, drag racing and fireworks. Burning Rock Outdoor Adventure Park near Sophia will host Thrills in the Hills this Friday through Sunday. Participants and spectators will be able to enjoy 10,000 acres of land and over 100 miles of trails.
“It’s all about family. There is something for everyone to enjoy. It gets kids away from video games and outdoors for a while and creates a love for the outdoors.” said Dyane Corcoran, Event Committee member.
Friday will be family night with drag racing at 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., live music by the band Bullets on Broadway, and a fireworks show at 10 p.m.
Saturday will feature the Hill Climb and Mud Pit Open Competitions from 10 a.m. to noon and Amazon Time Trails, the track for experienced riders, from noon to 4 p.m.
Thrills in the Hills is an all-day event starting with check in at 8 a.m. and ending at 8 p.m.
