What:
Coplin Health Systems will host a community celebration to help launch a new ongoing Mobile Health Unit (MHU) stop at Parkersburg Fire Station No. 2. The event will introduce residents to the services available through the MHU program, including primary care, behavioral health, women’s health, sports/work physicals, basic dental exams, walk-in care, and more. Families can enjoy free popsicles for children, explore the MHU, meet the Coplin care provider team, and participate in family-friendly activities. The Parkersburg Fire Department will also host an informational table with take-home materials.

Why:
Coplin Health Systems is expanding its MHU program to increase access to healthcare in neighborhood settings. Fire Station No. 2 was selected as a trusted, community-centered location that allows Coplin to meet residents where they are and provide convenient, accessible care.
Beginning after the July 22 launch, the MHU will visit Parkersburg Fire Station No. 2 on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Interviews with Coplin Health Systems leadership, Mayor Tom Joyce, and Fire Chief Jason Matthews will be available on-site. Visual opportunities include tours of the Mobile Health Unit, family activities, and community engagement with local partners.
