A ribbon cutting ceremony will celebrate the grand opening of the new Poca Senior Center in Putnam County. The event will take place Tuesday, May 19 at 12:30pm to 1:00pm. The Center is located inside Valley Cakes and Cafe. The address is 2887 Charleston Road in Poca, West Virginia.
The event will include remarks from WV Secretary of State Kris Warner.
Immediately following the ribbon cutting, Poca Senior Center, will host its first official community event. A Ladies’ Tea and Women’s Health Workshop will take place from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. The afternoon will include tea, refreshments, and health education.
Secretary Warner and representatives from the Poca Senior Center will be available for interviews.
