WHAT: Bluefield State University’s College of Health Sciences will hold its Junior Nurse Academy Pinning Ceremony, celebrating students who have completed the program. The pinning ceremony is a time-honored tradition in nursing education, marking a significant milestone in each student’s journey toward a career in healthcare.
The West Virginia Junior Nurse Academy at Bluefield State University is a free, immersive summer program designed to introduce eighth-grade students to the nursing profession and inspire them to pursue healthcare careers. It is one of the University’s signature outreach initiatives and is offered through a partnership among Bluefield State University, WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital, the Princeton Rescue Squad, and the West Virginia Office of Nursing Education and Workforce Development.
