GameChanger Takes National Stage at CADCA Prevention Education Conference Team Members Give Two Presentations on Opening Day

Washington, DC—GameChanger was featured at two presentations on opening day at the CADCA  (Community Anti- Drug Coalition of America) National Prevention Education Convention at the  Gaylord Hotel in the Washington, D.C., suburb of Oxon Hill, Md.  

Dr. Maryann Corsello, GameChanger director of programming and evaluation, and Dr. Michael  Hecht, director of prevention science, gave a presentation on The Power of Youth Voice  and the GameChanger Peer Leadership Program, while Paige Mathias, director of prevention  outreach, and Shelly Mize, director of prevention education, presented a poster session  highlighting the GameChanger Elementary and Peer Leader Programs.

GameChanger executive director Joe Boczek said, “The invitation to present at CADCA is a  testament of the growth, credibility and quality of the GameChanger Prevention education  program.” 

“This is certainly one of GameChanger’s most shining moments. To be invited by the premier  prevention organization in the nation to present at its annual convention speaks volumes of the  reputation GameChanger has earned over the last few years,” Boczek said.

More than 2,000 prevention professionals from across the nation attended the annual four day event where GameChanger solidified itself as one of the country’s most comprehensive  prevention education programs.  

CADCA is the nonprofit organization in the United States dedicated to helping communities  establish and maintain safe, healthy, and drug-free environments. Founded in 1992, CADCA represents more than 7,000 community-based coalitions across the U.S. and in more than  28 countries.
