West Virginia Press Association

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Local news matters, and so do the people who make it happen.

On November 7, the Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation will host the Narrative Change Collaborative Gathering, a statewide event focused on the next chapter of local journalism in West Virginia.

With speakers from The New York Times, Tiny News Collective, and independent outlets across the state, the program digs into new business models, audience trust, and the stories that shape how West Virginians see themselves and their communities. The event will be held in Charleston and streamed live statewide for reporters and publishers committed to strengthening local journalism in West Virginia.
