New Direction Grant Opportunity from Raleigh County opioid settlement funds announced

BECKLEY, W.Va. — The Raleigh County Commission is pleased to announce that funding opportunities from the Raleigh County opioid settlement funds are available on our website www.raleighcounty.gov. This grant initiative aims to support local organizations and agencies in their efforts to combat the opioid crisis through prevention-focused programs and projects in Raleigh County, West Virginia. 

Eligible applicants include local organizations, agencies, or entities implementing initiatives to prevent opioid misuse or support individuals affected by opioid abuse. The first round of funding prioritizes prevention efforts. All applications must be complete, as incomplete submissions may not be considered.

 Application Period: NOW OPEN 

Application Deadline: Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM 

Application Review: September 2025 

Grantee Notification: October 2025 

Applications must be submitted online on the Raleigh County website: www.raleighcounty.gov. Applicants must ensure all required documents, including budgets, organizational details, letters of support, and project plans, are included.
