Fantasy sports should be legal, regulated and taxed

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Sometimes good government requires our leaders to connect the dots, so to speak — to figure out that one decision ultimately impacts others.

Such is the case with a recent opinion by state Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, who said he believes current state law allows for fantasy sports gambling.

His reasoning is that fantasy sports is more a game of skill than luck. While some will argue against that line of reasoning, Morrisey has plenty of support from other legal experts…
