New Story 2017: Are you registered and ready?

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. — Held in Morgantown on June 16 and 17, New Story 2017 is a free two-day festival of workshops, screenings, demos and spitballing about media, DIY placemaking, communications, tech, entrepreneurship, organizing, dreaming big and rabble-rousing in Appalachia.

With sessions planned around tech and media innovation, film and photography, creative placemaking, the brand of Appalachian cuisine and how to launch DIY media outlets, New Story brings together hundreds of the region’s most creative, hardworking and dynamic people to Morgantown to share ideas, network, celebrate and hatch new plans.

Here is a personal note from Jake Lynch, The WV Hub’s Director of Communications:

If you are one of the more than 300 people that have already registered for New Story this Friday and Saturday, kudos to you.

Put your feet up. We’ll be sending out messages this week with last minute info about parking, food, directions, and just to make sure you’re good to go.

Keep your eyes peeled for an email from Jake@The Hub with New Story in the subject line – if you don’t see it by tomorrow, check your spam folder too!

But we’ll also be using The Hub’s facebook and twitter feeds to share New Story info in the next few days.

So make sure you like and follow us (links above) so you don’t miss any important updates.

Of course, if you’re not one of the more than 300 people already registered for New Story, you better get on that.

Time is running out. We’ll have to close the doors on Wednesday night.
