Job opportunity in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Are you a detail-oriented person with experience in data entry, billing and general office operations? Do you want or need a flexible work schedule in Charleston, W.Va.?  Do you understand customer service and sales but don’t want to travel, make sales visits or work on commission? 

The West Virginia Press Association is looking for such a person. The WVPA is looking for an employee to work in our business office handling general office duties but who also has the skills to handle data entry and billing for our newspaper advertising sales operation. The data entry work is unique, very precise, detail-oriented. It includes order placement, scheduling, billing and documentation. 

A strong understanding of basic accounting and business operations and use of Microsoft Office programs are requirements. Experience with office equipment, non-profit operations, newspaper and media sales or member services organizations are all a plus for candidates.  

The position can be full or part-time and there is some flexibility in the hours. Compensation depends on experience and Full-time employees qualify for the benefits package.
