Wood County, W.Va., officials discuss dilapidated structures

PARKERSBURG — Wood County commissioners told a local couple something needed to be done immediately to address dilapidated structures on a Lost Pavement Road property they own where drug paraphernalia has been found.

James and Drinda Richards, the owners of a property at 3453/3457 Lost Pavement Road in Parkersburg, appeared before the commission on Thursday to discuss the condition of their property. The couple was scheduled to appear before the commission last week but had to reschedule.

The commission is giving them 30 days to finish what they are going to do with the property. The couple did not feel they could get everything done in that time and commissioners said they would meet again with the couple at the end of 30 days. …
