W.Va. Commerce Secretary visiting businesses in Northern Panhandle

CHARLESTON, W.Va. —  Commerce Secretary Ed Gaunch visited businesses in the Northern Panhandle Thursday and today as part of an ongoing series of statewide listening tours.

“Under Governor Justice’s leadership, we have been putting an emphasis on getting out and meeting the wonderful business owners and employees who each play a critical role in keeping the state running,” Gaunch said.

“The tours also serve to recognize and celebrate our state’s existing businesses, big and small,” said Gaunch. “Seeing first-hand the diverse range of products that are made here in West Virginia has been an enlightening experience.”  

On Thursday, Aug. 22, the Gaunch visited visits to Jupiter Aluminum and Eagle Manufacturing in Brooke County, and Bidell Gas Compression in Hancock County.

Today, the tour is slated to visit Sledd Convenience Distributor and Touchstone Research Lab in Ohio County, and Blue Racer Midstream in Wetzel County.

The Commerce team also met with the Business Corporation of the Northern Panhandle on Thursday and the Regional Economic Development Partnership on Friday.
