CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Commerce Secretary Ed Gaunch visited businesses in Roane County on Tuesday and is Jackson County today, Wednesday, Nov. 20. The visits are part of an ongoing series of statewide listening tours.
“The listening tour is a chance for businesses and government to meet person-to-person, face-to-face,” said Gaunch. “Under Governor Jim Justice’s administration, we are reaching out to West Virginia businesses, big and small, to show that we recognize their vital contribution to our state’s economy. We want to learn what we’re doing that works well for them and what we can do to help them prosper and grow in our state.”
During the Nov. 19 and 20 tour, the Commerce team was scheduled to visit Al Rec LLC, Armacell, Concordance Health Care, Jeff Fetty Designs, Mustang Survival, Roane General Hospital, SDR Star Plastics, SwifTees Custom Apparel, and Valley Inc.
In addition to touring businesses, the Commerce team will attend the annual luncheons of the Roane County Economic Development Authority and the Jackson County Economic Development Authority.
