LUKE, Md. — Work will stop at the Verso paper mill here a month earlier than announced on April 30.
The 675 employees will be paid through June 30, but workers were notified today that production is ending May 31 — 3 weeks from today.
“The mill will cease all production on May 31 to prevent the further build of inventory,” said Kathi Rowzi, Verso’s vice president of communications and public affairs. …
