“It was great to be back in the Eastern Panhandle today to hear directly from constituents about the issues that matter to them,” Senator Capito said. “From celebrating Shepherd’s newest addition to campus to learning more about how our local businesses and educational institutions are leading the way in innovation and preparing our next generation with the tools to succeed, these stories, suggestions, and ideas are so important. I look forward to taking these discussions and experiences back to Washington and continuing to deliver real solutions for West Virginians.”

Senator Capito began the day at Shepherd University where she delivered remarks at the ribbon cutting for the Stubblefield Institute. Additionally, Senator Capito visited Entsorga to tour the facility and meet with employees, and concluded the day with a meeting at Blue Ridge Community and Technical College where she learned more about the college’s partnership with Procter and Gamble and the many training programs offered.
