CHARLESTON, W.Va. – West Virginia Press Association is hosting two events around the Legislative session — the Legislative Lookahead before session starts and the Media Social during the session.
Legislative Lookahead
The annual Legislative Lookahead is Friday, Feb. 7 at the Culture Center located on Capitol grounds in Charleston.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Members of the media are invited to attend panels with Patrick Morrisey, who will be sworn in as West Virginia’s governor on Jan. 13, and legislative leadership, including newly-elected public works officials.
Lunch will be included during the free event.

WV Press Media Social
This networking event at the West Virginia Culture Center starts at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27. Journalists from print, digital, and broadcast media and guests will have an opportunity for in-person networking with legislators and state officials. The 2024 Media Social was well attended and enjoyed considerable statewide exposure.
