Rosie the Riveters honored on Labor Day

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.  — The real face of Rosie the Riveter could be seen on Labor Day in Morgantown.

And it wasn’t the familiar countenance of the “Rosie the Riveter” character from the iconic campaign used in World War II to recruit women to work in the defense industry.

Rather, it was the face of Jean Malone.
