MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Around 10,000 country music fans are expected to converge on Mylan Park this weekend for the inaugural Wild and Wonderful Country Fest.
The event, hosted by Clarksburg’s Davisson Brothers Band, will feature musical performances from Hank Williams Jr., Old Dominion, Scotty McCreery, Diamond Rio, Holly Williams and others during two days of authentic Appalachian experiences.
Mike Stephens, festival director, said organizers are hoping to put on an unforgettable event. “We’re trying to create an annual event that really celebrates West Virginia, the history of West Virginia and the music,” he said. “Anyone can put on a concert, but we really focus on people coming a creating long lasting memories that they’ll remember forever.” …
