CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Thousands of West Virginia workers attended Saturday’s “Mountaineer Workers Rising” Rally on the front steps of the West Virginia Capitol. National and local leaders addressed the crowd, calling for those in attendance to be political active and to vote for legislators who support worker-friendly initiatives in the Legislature. Perhaps the largest gathering of the Legislative session was when thousands of workers — facing the American flag and recited the Pledge of Allegiance — visited Charleston for the March “Mountaineer Workers Rising” Rally on the front steps of the West Virginia Capitol.
