Martinsburg, W.Va., police uses ‘Drug House Ordinance’ to close three locations

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The Martinsburg Police Department recently began the process of shutting down three more drug houses under the City’s “Drug House Ordinance.” These problem houses, Chief of Police Maury Richards said, had been the source of 62 police calls for service in the last year. 

These houses are located at 721 Winchester Ave., 321 W. Race St. and 122 S. Raleigh St., according to a press release from the MPD. 

Police said the ordinance was enacted at these locations following recent drug investigations and arrests by MPD officers at the three multi-unit apartment buildings. …
