Gov. Justice amends W.Va legislative special session call to include technical veto and supplemental appropriation bills

From the Office of the Governor:

CHARLESTON, W.Va.– Today, Gov. Jim Justice announced that he is adding 30 bills to the proclamation calling for the West Virginia Legislature to convene in special session to focus on education betterment.

Included are bills that were vetoed by Gov. Justice after the 2019 Legislative Session for purely technical reasons. After working with lawmakers, the technical errors have been corrected, and the governor is submitting the bills for reconsideration.

Also included are supplemental appropriation bills which, if passed, will allocate additional funds to agencies that have unmet financial needs. Money appropriated by these supplemental bills will be allocated from surplus revenues.
