“Ghost Lady of Parkersburg” offering haunted tours of historical district

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — If Halloween is your favorite holiday and the paranormal piques your interest, author and tour guide Susan Sheppard has an offer for you: private ghost tours of Parkersburg.

Experience the thrill of seeing authentic haunted sites up close and personal while being led through the legend and lore-filled past of historic Parkersburg. Hear stories such as that of the 1966 visitation by entity Indrid Cold, made famous in the “Mothman Prophecies” movie.

“We are now offering tours year-round and featuring a special graveyard tour this year where we meet tour groups at the cemetery at the end of Juliana Street,” said Sheppard.

Tours meet in the lobby of the Blennerhassett Hotel at 4th & Market St. in downtown Parkersburg. Tickets are $15 per person and $20 per person for groups of eight and under. Price is negotiable for groups under five people. Special rate of $10 per person applies for groups of 20+. School, youth organizations or other special groups can call 304-428-7978 for a lower price.

Sheppard is the author of “Cry of the Banshee” and has appeared on the Travel Channel, ABC Family Channel and the Discovery Channel. She is also a historian and renowned psychic medium. Contact Sheppard at [email protected].
