ELIZABETH, W.Va. – Coplin Health Systems has announced a grand re-opening ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Wirt County Family Care expansion.
The event is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at 483 Court Street, Elizabeth. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, residents, business owners, and public officials are invited to tour the facility, meet the healthcare team, and learn about the comprehensive services offered.
Rob Dudley, CEO of Coplin Health Systems, said the expansion reflects Coplin Health Systems’ commitment to serving the growing healthcare needs of the Wirt County community.
“We are excited to open this new addition at our Wirt County Family Care clinic and provide a larger facility with enhanced healthcare services for patients and residents,” Dudley said. “The completion of this project allows Coplin Health Systems to provide accessible primary care, urgent care, and specialized medical services close to home, ensuring that residents can receive the quality care they need without traveling long distances.”

The $2 million expansion project added over 4,000 square feet to the health center’s footprint. The addition features three new medical treatment rooms, additional administrative offices and storage space, a larger conference room, and expanded space for physical therapy, behavioral health services, and dental care.
Rick Crispen, Facilities Director of Coplin Health Systems, said the new space will not only accommodate more patients and healthcare providers, but also improve efficiency and the overall healthcare experience for the community.
“This addition has been designed with our patients in mind, offering a more user-friendly facility that supports their wellness journey,” Crispen said. “We’re especially excited to offer dental services along with the expanded space for our comprehensive healthcare services, making it easier for patients to access the care they need. We believe this expansion will improve healthcare access and contribute to our community’s overall health and well-being.”
As Coplin Health Systems continues to expand and enhance its healthcare services, the organization remains dedicated to providing patient-centered care throughout its communities.

The project was a collaborative effort, with Pickering Associates and Phoenix and Associates serving as contractors. Coplin Health Systems received support for this project from the Health Resources and Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as part of an award totaling $675,000, with 40 percent financed by non-governmental sources.
Wirt County Family Care provides quality care to patients of all ages. Healthcare services include primary care, acute care (short-term/urgent medical needs), women’s health, occupational health, behavioral health services, chronic disease management, and an on-site pharmacy.
