“We’re seeking a versatile community journalist with a nose for news to take the next step and be a leader of our community coverage at daily and weekly publications in southern West Virginia. We aim to cover the people, places, issues and events of the area through our many digital and print publications. The Williamson Daily News and Logan Banner are our flagship newspapers in the group.The successful candidate will be a self-starter who has a vision for the future and is excited about using the many digital platforms available,” said a Civitas official. “As the leader of the hub of our news operation in the area, your mission will be to motivate and mentor reporters so their stories go beyond the superficial. Strong critical-thinking and organizational skills are a must. You’ll work flexible hours dictated by news events and our need to respond quickly and effectively.”
