Capito announces events in West Virginia this week

CHARLESTON, W.Va.  – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) will participate in several events throughout West Virginia this week.

Tonight, Capito will throw out the first pitch at the 8th Purple Power Night honoring the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at Appalachian Power Park. The event starts at 6:30 p.m., gates open at 6:05 p.m.

On Wednesday, Capito will participate in a ribbon cutting celebration at Unicare Health Plan’s facility, located at 200 Association Drive in Charleston. The celebration begins at 10:30 a.m. with doors opening at 10 a.m.

Wednesday evening, Capito will attend Capital High School’s Career Day and talk to students about career opportunities in West Virginia’s energy industry. Capito will give her remarks at 12:30 p.m. Media availability will begin at 12:50 pm.
