By The Register-Herald in Huntington, W.Va.

The following boil water advisories have been issued:

  • Richwood Water Department for the entire water system due to a main line leak.
  • Wilderness PSD for all customers due to pressure loss caused by a main water line break on Rt. 41 in Mount Nebo.
  • West Virginia American Water for approximately 30 customers on Madams Creek Road, Scenic Lane, New River Drive, Southside Drive, Sandstone Falls Road, and Freezeland Mountain Road in Hinton due to a main leak.
  • Raleigh County PSD from the intersection of W.Va. 3 and Mattsville Road to and including Lower Walhonde, due to a main line break.

Customers are advised to bring all water to a full rolling boil, let it boil for one minute and let cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.
