How to access $1 million WV fund to rescue dilapidated buildings

The Property Rescue Initiative (PRI) provides $1 million in loan funds, and technical assistance to help West Virginia’s communities remove or rehab dilapidated buildings.

Anyone interested in accessing a portion of this $1 million PRI funding pool to address dilapidated buildings in their community is encouraged to attend one of five PRI workshops in the coming months:
•  Weirton – January 22
•  Berkeley Springs – February 5
•  Huntington – February 19
•  Beckley – March 18
•  Buckhannon – April 1

Each full day workshop will feature guest speakers, interactive sessions on stakeholder engagement and the BAD Buildings process, and a panel of experts who will discuss creative ways to repay loans and reuse problem properties. Registration is $15.

Attendees are encouraged to bring several people from their community, especially to attend the two breakout sessions.
Space is limited at each workshop. Registration can be done online at:  http://wvbadbuildings.org/property-rescue-initiative/pri-workshop-registration/.

These PRI workshops are a collaboration of:
West Virginia Housing Development Fund
Northern WV Brownfields Assistance Center
WV Community Development Hub
