BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. — The West Virginia Soccer Association is in search of volunteers as it prepares to host the 2018 U.S. Youth Soccer East Region President’s Cup June 16-18 in Barboursville, West Virginia.
Over 100 teams from across the East Coast will come to West Virginia to compete for a regional championship. The economic impact of this event is close to $8 million dollars, local officials say.
“Obviously it brings a ton more visitors into the area,” said Brandi Beasley, executive director of the Barboursville Convention and Visitors Bureau. “It gives folks from out of town (a chance) to come experience our town and maybe even see a little bit of its history.”
