Dominion Post looking for calendar photographs

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — We are looking for striking digital images that highlight life in Morgantown and the surrounding area. Your images may show anything from natural landscapes, wildlife, events, facilities, businesses, architecture and weather, to people living, working, shopping or playing.

  • This contest is open to all. There is no entry fee.
  • Entrant gives The Dominion Post non exclusive rights to use the design in perpetuity for no fee.
  • Photographers will receive photo credit on the month their photo is displayed.
  • Each entry must be the work of the person submitting the photo.
  • Electronic images should be saved as .tiff or .jpeg files and uploaded in the highest resolution available.
  • Entries are accepted all year long until the deadline. Entries must be submitted online by November 1, 2017 at noon.
  • Photos should be of locations in Morgantown and the surrounding area.
  • ALL PHOTOS MUST BE Horizontal (landscaped orentiation) & in color to fit the calendar format. Images using natural light instead of flash photography are favored. The calendar requires a variety of image styles and subject matter. We will accept good high-resolution digital images (for 11″x8.5″ @ 300 dpi output, the largest setting on minimum 6MP camera). Selected photos will be cropped for that format.
  • Entries will be evaluated based on appeal, content and photographic skill.
