CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Delegate Patsy Trecost II, D-Harrison, issued the following statement upon being named to the West Virginia Commission on Oil and Natural Gas Industry Safety:
“I thank Governor Tomblin and Speaker Tim Armstead for allowing me this opportunity to serve on the West Virginia Commission on Oil and Natural Gas Industry Safety. Our natural resources, including oil and gas are at the forefront of creating economic development, jobs and generating revenue to provide for our infrastructure, education and healthcare. Taking this into consideration, it is vital that we all work together to assure that safety is our top priority with the shared goal that all workers in West Virginia’s oil and gas industry return home safely each day. I am grateful for the opportunity to represent the employees in my region who work in this sector and I look forward to working with the members of the commission.”
