MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Derrick Ward, or better known on stage as Remy Black, won Mountaineer Idol on Sunday, Nov. 8, at WVU’s Creative Arts Center.
The competition, which started in August, allows students to show off their talent. At the beginning of the semester, 60 students auditioned. The top 15 competed in elimination rounds.
