MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — As a group of WVU School of Dentistry students and faculty count down from 10, Dean David Felton sat there knowing a pie was going to meet his face at zero.

Felton was pied and with pie crust and shaving cream dripping from his face, Felton led out a “Woooooooooooooo.”

The pieing of the dean was a fundraiser for a club and scholarship at the school. Whichever faculty member had the most money donated in their name was the one that was going to get pied.

Blake Johnson, a dentistry student, handled the bidding before Felton was pied. He said they raised $300 on May 1 in addition to $200 raised beforehand. Some of the money will go to the Elliot Shulman Dentistry Scholarship and the other funds will go to the Pediatric Dentistry Club, Johnson said.
