MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The vintage warbirds have touched down in Morgantown.

Morgantown Municipal Airport is a stop this summer of the “Wings of Freedom Tour,” which is in town this week.

A B-17 bomber and a B-24 bomber touched down on the tarmac on Wednesday, Aug. 13.

The planes will be in town through Friday, Aug. 15.

A group in Stow, Mass., hosts the tour every year to honor World War II veterans who kept the air effort aloft.
