MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Milan Puskar Stadium was full of women Aug. 21 for the fifth annual Football 101 program with members of the WVU football team.
The participants talked with the WVU coaching staff, took pictures with their favorite players, learned the rules and even ran through basic plays with the players.
For Sandy Stafford, a Mountaineers fan for the past 19 years, the evening allowed her to receive one-on-one interaction with the players for the first time.
“It is a great way to see the team, interact with the team and see the stadium since it has been renovated,” Stafford said. “The facilities are just amazing.”
