WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — May’s cover of Wonderful West Virginia magazine showcases the work of renowned photographer Randall Sanger with the setting sun illuminating abundant flowers along the King Coal Highway in Mingo County.

Sanger is a native of Williamson.

“We are pleased to present a few of Randall Sanger’s striking landscape images in this month’s issue as well – his first Gallery for Wonderful West Virginia Magazine,” the magazine stated.

“I am honored to have my work featured in the May edition of my favorite publication – Wonderful West Virginia magazine. This magazine was the instrument that sparked my interest in exploring West Virginia as well as capturing the amazing natural beauty found in this great state,” Sanger said.

“To this day, I eagerly await each issue, and it is very special and means a lot to me to see my image on the cover and a few more of my images in the Gallery section, and many thanks to the good folks of Wonderful West Virginia Magazine for selecting my work for the May issue,” he said.

Sanger is a landscape photographer and is co-author of the award-winning book, West Virginia Waterfalls: The New River Gorge, and is currently working on several additional titles.

Sanger conducts photography workshops and tours throughout West Virginia and beyond…
