MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — It’s not every day you see a powder-blue 1950s Ford by the side of the interstate, but that’s just what greeted emergency responders Monday, April 7, on Interstate 68.
And it was a sight to break a classic car lover’s heart. Monongalia County Sheriff’s Deputy Sgt. W.J. Yaskoweak said the Ford was on a dolly, being pulled by a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup.
The dolly started wobbling near the 8.5 mile marker, causing the driver of the pickup to lose control. The truck spun into the ditch and separated from the dolly holding the car.
