Mary Lou Retton appeared at Coni and Franc on Thursday, for a cameo in a comic video, to promote the Monongalia General Auxiliary Ball of the Year.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Olympic gymnast Mary Lou Retton tumbled into some comedy for Monongalia General Hospital on Thursday, July 24.
The athlete, who is still known the medals she won in the 1984 Summer Games in Los Angeles, is Mon General’s celebrity spokeswoman.
Retton has a walk-on — and the last word — in a locally produced video promoting the hospita’s 2014 Ball of the Year, which will be in November.
The video is a take-off on a recent comedy bit by Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake that depicts what a Twitter conversation would sound like — if two people, face-to-face in the same room, actually talked like tweets read.
