Max, a K-9 officer for the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, and his partner, Deputy Jamie Miller, search a bus for narcotics at Camp Virgil Tate on Thursday. The two were voted State K-9 Team of the Year by the West Virginia Police Association, which is holding its annual K-9 officer certification this week at the camp.
