HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Mark Connelly and his wife, Karen Hoth, want to do whatever they can for the health of Fourpole Creek in Huntington.

“We were victims of the July flooding along Fourpole Creek at our property at Enslow Park,” Connelly said. “The health of this creek is personal to us, so anything we can do to help is our goal.”

“It is our third annual ‘Make It Shine’ event,” Hoth said. “We pull debris and trash from in and around the creek.”

Hoth said the cleanup effort really doesn’t address the issue of flooding, but every little bit helps…
