Wendy Perrone with Three Rivers Avian Center keeps a close watch on a injured, male bald eagle that was in his nest on Brooks Island Monday morning. The bald eagle, which was struck Friday by an Amtrak passenger train along New River, has shown signs of improvement over the weekend. “He is starting to look more like his old self,” said Perrone.
